In Greek Senior High Schools, both General & Vocational, the Video (VHS or DVD) together with the Educational TV programs have been utilized so far by the Greek teachers, mainly as supplementary material in teaching thus offering in most cases a passive experience to the students.
In contrast to what happens to Greece, teachers and Vocational schools in the industrially developed countries of the European Union, include the Video in their daily teaching practice energetically. Schools subscribe to on-line video libraries of certified European organizations providing their users with Educational videos. A main example of such organization is the “Lesite.TV” of the French educational channel “France-5”.

For this, 20 such videos were delivered, published to the Internet, send to the IKY Foundation and also to the National Coordination unit for the Leonardo da Vinci program.

The diffusion event took place on Thursday the 2nd of June 2011, at the meeting center of the Church of Ag.Athanasios. At the meeting, two of the participated teachers presented their educational videos named "3-phases Electrical Distribution" and the “dichotomy of drachma” created for this project. These videos were designed especially to be suitable for teaching in the Vocational Schools.
Participants of the event were the representatives of the local government and the local professional organisations, the Head of the Vocational Education office, School advisors, School headmasters and teachers from schools at Thessalonica.
