The activities took place in three weeks time, from the 31th of October 2009 to the 21th of November 2009 in Germany
Number of participants: 15 students and 4 teachers as escorts
Participants: The participants were 15 students of the Secondary Vocational Education (Vocational Lyceum of Agios Athanassios), attending a initial level vocational education, who have been awarded a Diploma of Vocational Level III after their graduation. The above mentioned students were enlisted in the following specializations:
- Sector of Electricians: of electrical domestic appliances
- Sector of Computing: support of systems of applications and networks
- Sector of Electronics: of electronic systems and networks
Which needs were satisfied, basic targets: In the region of origin of students, significant production industries of Northern Greece are enterprising basically of recycling paper, eg MEL, as well as industries of dairy products, eg MEVGAL or the industry of checmical building materials ISOMAT, which are looking for experienced technicians familiar with Industrial Automation and, therefore, this specific content of education will promote their employment, as future graduates, in the job market.
The enforcement of the enterprises of paper production by recycling paper in the area through the existence of experienced technicians of this field will advance the local ecological development.
Furthermore, the submitted plan coincided with the policies of the European Union for the upgrading of the level of vocational education and the formation of a European framework of Qualifications since the participating students practiced their knowledge and attended theoretical sessions in an upgraded industrial professional environment, such as that in Germany.
Anticipated Results: The main result of this education in Germany was the possession of the Europassport Mobility, as a certified vocational qualification after the practice and the assessment of the Greek students in German enterprises.
